It all started when…

Rachael Taylor is a first-generation Nigerian who wanted to continue her family’s legacy that started in a village called “ Magayaki ”.

Rachael was raised by two hardworking parents. Her father was trained in electrical engineering, and her mother became an entrepreneur and a social worker when the family faced a crossroads in their American dream.

As with many immigrants, the dream wasn’t easily accessible, for many reasons. As a young girl she began to see the importance of a foundation. As her mother grew her business, and her success, Rachael got her first job washing hair for her mother’s salon. She was learning skills, earning income, and seeing the difficulties and blessings that came with being a business owner. As a teenager, she began to see the importance of a structure.

Rachael went into the corporate world, working in multi levels within office management, fundraising, and human resources. Within human resources she discovered a passion for helping people discover their vision and taking the steps to achieve it. She was seeing the importance of support.

After the sudden passing of her mother after a battle with cancer that she was reminded of a conversation she always had with her. Her mother would ask what she was doing, she’d respond, “contemplating my life,” her mother would then encourage her to stop contemplating and begin living. She could not return to business as usual. She was now at her crossroads and decided to follow the path laid out by her parents. She decided to create a village.

Magayaki Made takes the over 15 years’ experience and uses it to create to help entrepreneurs and small business owners manage their operations, connecting them with the resources available while building structures for longevity. Let’s move from contemplating to actually living our vision.
